Foresight is a twice yearly EDM festival based in Belgium. They welcome 400,000 visitors from all over the world for a once in a lifetime experience. For two consecutive weekends the people of tomorrow come together to celebrate and live life to the fullest.
They believe in fostering a sense of community for the people of tomorrow. Foresight strives to create a positive connection with nature that contributes to the well being of future generations. Do something good today, for which we will be grateful for tomorrow.
The Foresight app was developed to bring a more immersive experience to both virtual and in person festivals. By utilizing Google cardboard for an affordable VR experience fans can participate in the festival from anywhere in the world. Drones on a pre-programed flight path are fitted with cameras for the audience to view the festival from a different perspective.
It was important to the brand to include a way for attendees to interact socially, through drone view on mobile attendees are able to share video, like, and tag through various social media apps. The foresight app also integrates a way to check accommodations, includes a map of the festival grounds and places to eat. Various branded merchandise is also available for purchase through the app.
Although drone view is not limited to those who purchase google cardboard the experience is enhanced with one. Below is the branded cardboard and the various drone views available to attendees. Using the existing Google cardboard controls, the viewer is able to switch between three different drone views.
